2008 cPanel Conference
June 29, 2008 – 4:10 amMy employer (AlphaRed) sent Jesse Shanks and myself to the latest cPanel conference. The 2008 cPanel conference was held at the Westin Oaks hotel in “The Galleria Shopping Center”. Which is Houston’s number one attraction and is said to be the fourth largest shopping center in North America with over 350 stores! The mall also features an indoor ice rink
“The Galleria” often has expensive luxury or sport cars parked outside the front entrance. During the conference we saw a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder (left) parked outside. It’s not a bad car, but it came in an ugly color with ugly Spyder (convertible) model rims! It’s also my opinion that soft top (convertible) sports cars are a waste, because all that sportiness is lost as soon as you drop the top. I think the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera (right) is the better choice!
At the conference we met some old friends from HostGator and other companies. We also met some new people including some guys from HostDime (left). We also got free iPod Shuffles (2GB) and other cool stuff (right). We saw several different presentations about cPanel’s new features this year. We also saw security presentations which were also cool, but a bit novice oriented for my taste. cPanel served dinner the first two nights and lunch the last two. There were also drinks at the open bar and networking sessions those days. Thank you cPanel for throwing and AlphaRed for sending us to this awesome conference!
