Brooklyn Local 1 Ale
June 13, 2011 – 3:39 amI had the Brooklyn Local 1 ale today with dinner. It was very good, with citrus and earthy tastes with a sweet aftertaste. This beer has a lot of flavor. Don’t expect to quench your thirst like you would with a lager or light beer! However it’s not an overbearingly bold beer either. It’s nothing like the crazy IPA offerings and it’s very drinkable even if you normally drink lighter beers. If all you know is bud light, it’s probably not the right ‘real beer’ to start with. I picked my pint up on the north west side at HEB off 249 and it cost about $10 for one pint.
